Money, Sex, Power

not long ago i had a discussion with a wise man who told me flat out - "joud, what it all boils down to for a man is money, sex, and power."


is that ALL that really matters to men ?


in contrast, i came accross this interesting pyramid representing the hierarchy of needs, proposed by a psychologist named Maslow.

sex does appear as a basic need, but i don't see money nor power.



sex and food should be on the top of the pyramid.

    I think this pyramid was meant to describe women rather than men ;p

    Zed, the top means less important, why would sex and food be there!

    Joud, money and power are means.. there is no end to them! The only end is more money and more power. This isn't like sex which is a basic human need, it is not a mean to anything it can be a mean to have children but it isn't really just for that.

    and i changed my mind, make money the highest priority, cause with money you can get sex & food

    Money is included in basic needs, food and drink. Be creative:

    Basic needs:
    A car, ipod, mobile, laptop, mansion, tickets to the world...

    Food:
    Maki, Bredz, Chilies for me :)

    Drink:
    Second Cup, Columbus, Redbull...

    and yes sex is at the bottom cuz it's the highest need, wake up Zed you were about to ruin it for all the men!

    I think power is in relationships :P

    Money and power are within the level before last (top of pyramid) they come with achievement and status.

    Oh and I am a Maslow fanatic so kudos on your selection :D

    that's right Carrie Bradshaw, sleeping is there too, so sex food power and sleeping or does it fall under fun, but sex is under fun no? what about love? I didn't read the previous comments (nasty I know) but ummm..yeah.

    Everyone has different personal needs and wants...Financial gain and health is always on top of everyones list
