His style of talking isn't new. Lotsa guys back in the 80s of the last century used to talk this way. Cool guys used to have the exact tone of voice and ugly pronounciation. Some of'em are still talking the same, but the majority are trying to hide it because of the sarcastic technique "tha`3aa6"..
