The World Greatest
Tiesto is out with another great album.
I just realized Mark posted about it last week.
I'll leave you with my favorite song from his previous album (In Search of Sunrise 5)

Another addition to my boycott list, but this time I don't have a reason, maybe its:
- the rumors that 11 cents out of every Dollar spend at Starbucks goes for rebuilding Israel.
- their ugly ass logo.
- because they are in your fucking face everywhere you fucking go.
- their bitter, tasteless coffee.
- their overpriced menu.
- because they scream everything anyone orders.
- that I would rather spend my money on the local coffee shops.
- their makiatto frappacino al pacino with caramel on top.
- because I just don't like them.

it happens every now and then that i receive an email from someone i haven't heard from in 10 years or more; they see my profile somewhere on the net and write me a fervent email full of exclamation marks. don't get me wrong, i get excited when i find these surprise emails (sometimes), and usually write back right away...
but then there's nothing more to say and the correspondence stops right then and there or at best after another email or 2. isn't that funny ? i guess people just grow apart and unless u really have something significant in common, u probably won't hear from each other again for another 10 years.... if that.

u don't see this in the news everyday. silly, silly ambassador.
Israel recalls naked ambassador
"[...] police found Mr Refael in the Israeli embassy compound where he had been found bound, gagged and naked apart from sado-masochistic sex accessories. "

when u have a cd changer in your car, there's still always one cd which stays as the others come and go. it's the cd u feel u'll never get sick of, the cd u want to have ready in case your mood calls for its tunes; and it often does.
do u have a fixture cd in your car ? mine is a mixed Fayrouz cd i made months ago.

one of the reactions after a conflict between 2 people, is to use the silent treatment. the thing about it is that the longer you go without talking to each other, the harder it gets to reconcile. and no matter how much we say that pride shouldn't come between 2 good friends or 2 people in a relationship / marriage, it's always there.
the whole thing becomes a vicious chain of negative emotions: anger turns into pride, which turns into stubbornness, which eventually turns into contempt. and once u've reached that stage, the chances are that the connection which once existed between the 2 of u is lost for ever.
before u start giving someone the silent treatment always ask yourself, is it worth losing this friendhsip / relationship over ? Though the answer is sometimes yes, most of the time u'll find that it's no ;)

I was just reading Fonz 's post on Home Cooking and realized that most of us don't appreciate home cooked meals like we should, specially arabic TABEEKH.
For my fellow non-arabic speaking readers: Tabeekh means home cooked meals in arabic
My favorite Tabkhat cooked and prepared by my lovely mother:
1. Wara2 Enab (Grape Leaves)
2. Mulokhieh (Meat not chicken)
3. Mughrabieh (also known as Maftool)
4. Ma2loobeh (with Cauliflower not Eggplant)
5. Mashawy (Kabab, Tika, Shish Taouk and the works)
6. Mansaf (Jordan's national dish)
7. Msakhan (Palestine's national dish)
8. Kusa with Bandoura (Zucchini in tomato sauce)
My least favorite Tabkhat:
1. Bamyeh (no need to explain why)
2. Labanimo (a yougurt with rice dish)
3. Faware3' (Stuffed intestines)
4. Anything with fool (Beans)
5. Anything with eggplants

yesterday i was driving in the left lane of a highway, hovering around the speed limit (because of the law-abiding driver in front of me, whom i respect). then i looked at my sideview-mirror to see a big white 4-wheeler behind me; he was so close to my car that the slightest brake would've surely gotten my rear bumper a white dent. since i couldn't move any faster, i ignored the s.o.b and kept rocking to my newly made old school CD.
but the bastard behind me wouldn't leave it at that: the 1st chance he got, he went to the next lane, sped ahead, cut me off (almost hitting the guy who was in front of me). i honked. he flicked me off. then he went to the extreme right and took an exit.
kudos to whoever raised this guy.

i wanted to go see a movie last night so i checked cinescape to see what was playing... nothing interesting except for the holiday which i'd already seen.
anyways, i was surprised to see that wicker park was playing
why is there a 3 year-old film in the movie theaters ? i mean i understand if there are movies from 2006 because of release date issues, but this one's from 2004 !
needless to say the movie outing was replaced by coffee...

In society, there are many products and ideas that we buy in to. Some of these products, services or ideas are just plain bullshit. Well known magicians: Penn and Teller are here to knock some sense into people in a humourous and informal way and to explain why some things in life are just plain... Bullshit!
I've seen season 1 & 2, thought they were great.
