Is it a man's world ?

the presidential candidacy of women in 2 of the strongest overall powers in the world - ones with veto power in useless UN - got me thinking & researching about female leaders/heads of state; there are currently 13:

Ireland

President Mary McAleese, since 1997

New Zealand

Prime Minister Helen Clark, since 1999

Latvia

President Vaira Vike-Freiberga, since 1999

Finland

President Tarja Halonen, since 2000

Philippines

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, since 2001

Bangladesh

Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, since 2001

Mozambique

Prime Minister Luisa Diogo, since 2004

Germany

Chancellor Angela Merkel, since 2005

Liberia

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, since 2006

Chile

President Michelle Bachelet, since 2006

Jamaica

Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, since 2006

South Korea

Prime Minister Han Myung-Sook, since 2006

Switzerland

President Micheline Calmy-Rey, since 2007

I'm living in Finland and we've been doing very well under female leader! I'm sure in few years it will be more than 13!! Our strength is getting recognised. Think about it: Men have voted for those presidents!!! :)
