Palestinian Film Week

"Shashati.TV, in cooperation with The Department of English Language & Literature, Kuwait University, are proud to announce the commencement of “Palestinian Film Week”. Film screenings will take place daily from Sunday, April 20th through Thursday, April 24th at the Khaldiya Memorial Hall, Kuwait University.

The events will include a variety of world-renowned films from Palestine, spanning different genres, themes and styles.

The schedule is as follows:

20/04 – “The Syrian Bride”
21/04 – “Paradise Now”
22/04 – “West Bank Story”/”Divine Intervention”
23/04 – “Promises”
24/04 – “Rana’s Wedding (Jerusalem, Another Day)”

All screenings will commence at 7 p.m., to be followed by a discussion.

Attendance is free of charge, but seating is limited.
For its part, Shashati.TV is organizing these events in an effort to promote film culture and awareness, as well as promote Arab Film to local, regional, and international audiences both as an art form as well as a means of entertainment."


i just got a facebook invitation to these screenings, it started sunday so i already missed the first two nights, but i think i'll go to the rest of them, i have only seen one of these movies.


honestly, i'm just glad to see there are activities like this being held in kuwait, something different to do on a weekday.

Too bad the screening of the Kite Runner got cancelled! Just when you thought they were about to do a triple bill with the screening of the Kite Runner, Kinsey and Schindler's List.
