Shut down

i love getting massages, and i get them ona regular basis... but i have this problem which keeps me from fully enjoying them

my muscles are completely relaxed, but my mind doesnt stop working, it rehashes things, conversations, situations, work, tries to solve problems, makes plans... or for the very least i have a song stuck in my head

then i catch myself, and try to "free my mind" as i call it, which works for a minute, then it starts all over again

does anyone have any tricks or advice on how to "shut down ?"

I don't think there is anything to make you shut down...

If you find a way please tell me :)

Try writing things you need to do down. I am personally so much haunted by this problem. It's what Getting Things Done describes best as, your pending items will keep hunting you until you write them down in a place you know you will get back to later.

Try it out for sometime. It's been helping me a lot.

Come to Osho (www.osho.com)for a lasting fix to your problem. Either that, or join us for a group transcendental meditation session at 5 in the morning opposite the National Assembly on the beachfront each weekday morning. This will calm you down for your massage sesssions - treat this as foreplay on the house.

My friends from Iran had recently been to the Osho centre that's how I came to know about it. You could go there for a weekend get-away or spend longer and enrol in one of the many 90 days residential packages that they do.
My friends who were there for a month were able to take in a little bit of everything : massage lessons, meditation, glass painting, candle making, bird-watching ( in the literal sense, of course) tai chi and pottery.
Fancy any of those??

yes i do !
I was thinking of making a trip to chiva som with a couple of friends for a similar purpose, but for a shorter period (perhaps a week)

where is this osho center ?

Chiva Som is tops! Anyway,as far as I know the Osho International Meditation resort is outside Kuwait unless a franchising opportunity came along in Kuwait but I doubt it very much.
For more on the Osho International Meditation resort visit them at www.osho.com and remember the high season starts off in December and ends February so that you'll need to book in advance.
