Travel theory

yesterday a friend of mine told me she read somewhere that the best time to buy a travel ticket is wednesday right after midnight. according to stats, that’s when u catch fares at their cheapest

if this is true, i think it may only apply to the u.s., but I will test this theory this week on jazeera and compare prices

i just checked flights to beirut, and today i can get a roundtrip for 83 kd; let’s see if I can get a cheaper fare on wednesday after midnight

i use www.farecast.com
it gives predictions on when airfares are at their lowest

It's a good idea if you use Low Cost Carriers who vary prices according to demand. Most established airlines tend to set prices by season (peak, off-peak), and/or allocate certain - but very few - seats at lower (but still fixed) prices, which are snapped up on a first-come-first-served basis.
